An extra wheel for Brynnleigh!

Donation protected
Hello hello! My name is Tausha, and my bestfreinds daughter Brynnleigh is need of an extra wheel to be able to get herself around in the tremendous amount of snow that they continue to have in Alaska!

A little backstory: Brynnleigh was born with osteogenesis imperfect, AKA brittle bones disease, AKA "OI". (If your curious what it is, OIF.org has lots of information!) Her wheelchair is her lifeline, her freedom to get around safely and independently. Brynnlee just turned 5, and just started walking in the last month (woot woot!) Even though she is walking a bit, this isnt safe yet outside the home... and she is still 99% dependant on her chair, always using it outdoors, and most of the time indoors as well. It is the lifeline to her independence, and protects her from getting bumped and from falling, which would break her bones, and is obviously very painful-and recovery is hard for her & her momma!

Rhachel (her amazing besutiful momma) has been shoveling snow (which has been up to 14 inches) to provide a path for them to get her in her chair to their vehicle and also allow her to be outdoors like everyone else. Rachel found through research and other OI parent suggestions, this 3rd wheel that attaches to her chair, and provides more stability in the weather and snowy months. She has been trying to get insurance to cover it, but has been hitting road blocks at every corner. (SSI medical is extreemly difficult to get coverage through - Gotta love out healthcare sytem where unqualified people make a determination if we "need something" when they have NO clue - end of rant :( )

This "wheel" would allow Brynlee to be able to get around more safely and not have to carried around, which on the icy ground could cause Rachel to slip with her in her arms... and as you can imagine, that's would cause a ripple of events leading to injury. Even after these snowy months, the extra stability this wheel would provide to prevent tipping while going up and down ramps and hills, would continue to promote Brynnleighs independence.

Brynnleigh has a fire about her spirit like no other!! Our kiddos with OI have endured so much in their little lives, from numerous Dr appointments, to NUMEROUS surgeries, to pain and recovery from each and every break(some have hundreds), to wanting to "be like other kids" to having to figure out how to navigate simple thing like getting around, that us healthy "walking" folks don't even have to think about.

Brynnleigh is a typical developmental 5 year old, she has a personality that warms your heart, and despite all she has been through, is the HAPPIESR and most possitive kiddo I've ever met (I've never met an OI kiddo that didn't ). She lights up a room when she enters it, and will make a friend of any stranger, allowing you no other choice but to fall in love with her!

Getting this wheel would mean the world of difference for her and her Momma... who will stop at nothing to fight for her daughters needs, but she needs a little extra help with this one. Rachel is a single mom, managing all of Brynnleighs care on a VERY fixed income. She is unable to work due to the constant Dr and other appointments, and for Brynnleighs safety. Brynnleighs possitive outlook in life is a true testimony to her mothers ability to always see the bright side in any situation, when most of us would crumble. She has watched her daughter go through so much, but has still taught her to see the good in every situation no matter how hard the road, and it shows in both of their hearts.

If Rachel had only one shirt on her back to give, she would give it to a random stranger and go without. I'm asking that even if you have $5, or a heart to push "share" on this post, every little bit of money and effort helps, and will get them close to her goal!
