An Election Appeal From People Before Profit

People Before Profit are running 45 local election candidates and candidates in each of the three European constituencies in Ireland.

We have a clear message. Time to evict Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael and put socialist campaigners on the Councils and in the European Parliament. We are the only party to give a cast iron guarantee that we will not do business with the establishment parties. We want to use these elections to serve notice to quit on them. We want to see the election of a Left government at the next general election which, as a first priority, will address the housing crisis.

The ongoing genocide in Gaza, and the EU’s shameful support of the apartheid state of Israel, clearly demonstrates the nature of the EU and the need for strong socialist voices to combat it. We want to make our Councils Apartheid Free Zones and break all relationships with Israel and companies that support its war machine.

People Before Profit does not receive the type of donations the bigger parties get from the businesses and wealthy interests they represent.

Instead, we rely on small donations from members and supporters.

Unfortunately, elections are very costly to contest and in addition to the European elections, we also have Local Elections and even the possibility of a General Election before the end of the year. Every poster we print costs €7.60.

While we know times are hard for many with the ongoing cost of living crisis, we are asking our members and supporters to please, if at all possible, to donate what they can to People Before Profit's upcoming European Election campaign. Consider paying for a poster, or two, or three.

Anything you can give will go towards helping to promote our candidates and their message of campaigning for real change to address the housing crisis and opposing the neoliberal policies, increasing militarism, and disastrous Fortress Europe policies which have turned the Mediterranean into a graveyard for refugees.
