A report from WHO in 2024 shows that about 1 in 7 children and adolescents aged 10-19 are affected by mental health conditions, with anxiety, depression, and behavioural disorders being the most common. With one third of these conditions showing before the age of 14, and half showing before the age of 18, WHO states that early action is essential. Still, access to mental health services for children and young people remains limited, and the majority of young people experiencing mental health symptoms do not receive help due to factors like poor service availability, high costs, and the stigma that discourages them from seeking help.
Edvin Ryding once said:
"If you look at the statistics, you can see that mental illness is common among young people and that there are, sadly, a lot of youth who actually commit suicide, which is a big societal issue and it's also a part of the reason why I want to do this and stand behind it because the Tim Bergling Foundation, who are behind this evening, presents a form of solution."
With all of this in mind, as a birthday gift for Edvin Ryding's 23rd birthday, we at Ryding Daily Info are, for the thrid year in a row, raising money to the Tim Bergling Foundation - a foundation which advocates for the recognition of suicide as a global health crisis and actively works to remove the stigma associated with suicide and mental health issues.
Help make the world better and the future brighter by taking part in this birthday gift for Edvin!
