An apartment for Genevive

Hi friends,

My name is Saoirse, and I'm raising funds to help my beautiful friend rent an apartment in Nigeria.

I met Genevive earlier this year online, and we have become great friends. She lives in rural Nigeria with her husband and two young children. After covid, the family lost everything and had to sell up, as well as tragically losing their 8 month old baby due to being unable to afford her medical care when she became sick.

Genevive is desperate to get her young daughter into school, but at the moment they live too far away from the school. We are hoping to raise money for Genevive to rent a two bedroom apartment closer to the school, so her daughter can begin her education.

In Nigeria, apartments are rented on a yearly basis, and we are hoping to raise £1,000. This will cover the year's rent (around £500), plus agent fees, moving costs, and some furniture and home essentials. If we are lucky enough to raise more than the target, all money will be used by the family for food, medicine, clothing, transport, essentials etc.

The family is really, really struggling, and sometimes they dont have enough to eat or enough clothes to wear.
