An Accident Leaves a Family in Need

Hello, my family and I are fundraising for my Uncle Mike and his family to help them with finances after he was hit by a car. We kindly ask for support for Mike and his family to help cover their bills, living expenses, and other expensive that arise. Please read their story:

On September 3rd, Mike Parr was struck by a car while working overnight security for an event. The crash resulted in a broken neck, leaving him paralyzed from the shoulders down and multiple broken ribs, two broken shoulders, facial fractures and a slew of secondary medical issues due to his level of spinal chord injury. He is currently unable to breathe on his own. While he has regained some movement in his arms, Mike is still unable to use his hands, or feel and move his legs. His rehabilitation time will be 1-2 years once he is discharged from the hospital.

Mike has a strong spirit and has already overcome two leg amputations and kidney dialysis, but the road ahead for him and his family is extremely long and difficult.

Mike and his family have been living on his part-time income due to his wife Janet (my aunt) being diagnosed with early onset dementia, leaving her unable to work. Already struggling financially, this accident has added to the strain. Without either of them having the ability to work, this leaves them in a horrible financial crisis. They have one daughter, Danielle, a recent college graduate, who is trying to help them with the bills, but she is also limited in how much she can work while also trying to help take care of her mom and her dad.

While Mike has struggled with some setbacks, he has continued to fight, and any monetary support you can provide will give the family some relief from the stress they are currently facing. Prayers and words of encouragement are also welcome. Thank you!
