Hi Everyone,

My name is Amy, I am a second year student nurse from the University of Galway. This summer I have an opportunity to volunteer with Brighter Communities Worldwide for 4 weeks in Kericho County. Our aim is to improve healthcare and healthcare access. We will do this by administering essential vaccinations, working in hospitals and medical centres and giving educational workshops. Along with this I will be involved in installing smokeless stoves throughout the community with the aim to reduce smoke-related illnesses and improve overall quality of life.

€1,000 will go directly to Brighter Communities Worldwide with the hope to support future community projects and healthcare. The remaining funds raised will assist me in receiving my vaccinations, flights and other travel expenses.
