Amy & Warren's IVF Journey
Donation protected
If you have received this link then I am sure that you already know Warren and I (but if you don't then we thank you for taking the time to read our story). You may also know that, unfortunately, I am unable to have children due to having Ovarian Cancer when I was 15. This meant both ovaries were removed in order to save my life.
Warren and I have been married for two years now and have a long IVF journey ahead of us. As I have no ovaries, I am unable to create my own eggs which leaves us needing an egg donation and IVF which, it turns out, is extremely expensive.
We have looked into all avenues and the cheapest and best route to go down is to go to a clinic in Czech Republic but for IVF and egg donation this still totals a whopping £7500 for one cycle plus the freezing of donor eggs in case we require a second go. This is needed before we can even start our journey.
On top of this we need an additional £1000 for Covid tests to get in and out of an amber country while it is still only for medical purposes and for our scans, tests and medication.
If you can spare anything at all it would mean the world to Warren and I and you will be re-paid with plenty of baby cuddles if, of course, we are successful.
Hopeful thinking but if the amount goes over £8500 it will be put towards our second attempt if the first is not successful and any further attempts thereafter, if we are successful then it will be put towards our early scans and blood tests as the baby will need a lot of monitoring due to the fact that I cannot produce my own hormones.
Thank you and I hope to see you soon when the world is a little calmer.
