Amplify voices of the people of Iran within KC

Dear KC Community,

Iran is a country filled with beauty and diversity, but for the last 43 years the people of Iran have been fighting against a brutal, deceitful regime that doesn’t represent the people of its country. The death of Mahsa Jhina Amini on September 16th has ignited what is now understood to be a revolution in the making. The Islamic Republic is committed to suppressing their voices, killing its very own people, and committing crimes against humanity daily.

That’s why in Kansas City we are raising awareness and being advocates for the people in Iran. However, rallying, advocating, and raising awareness can get costly too.

This fundraiser is a way to help the Persian community of Kansas City raise awareness and amplify the voices of the people in Iran.

In the last 6 weeks, a group of Iranian-American activists in KC have organized rallies, put up 2 billboards along I-35, had yard signs spread throughout the KC metro, organized candlelight vigils, had a freedom mural painted in Midtown representing what Iranians are fighting for, and more.

Thus far, all of this has been achieved through generous donations from supporting members of our community.
