Amman Half Marathon for Asylum Welcome Oxford

Since I first moved to Oxford I’ve been volunteering to do youth case work at Asylum Welcome. This has given me the opportunity to work alongside many great people and build relationships with some incredibly inspiring clients who have made a profound impact on my life.
At a time when the UK is an increasingly hostile place to be a refugee or asylum seeker, charities like asylum welcome make a massive difference. Asylum Welcome returns some humanity to the asylum process and provide a range services such as:
-Access to food and essentials for adults, young people and families
-Emergency and temporary housing support
-Help with legal advice and asylum applications
-Access to language classes, training, and pathways to work
Having just moved to Amman, Jordan, I’m hoping to support Asylum Welcome by running the Amman Half Marathon on October 17th. Having attempted to run out in the heat today, I can confirm it will be tough. I live in Jabal Amman which literally translates to 'mountain!!!!' This place is extremely hilly and I'm expecting the course to be extremely tough and probably boiling considering the 6am kick off...
If you can't be with me in person, a small donation wuld mean the world. I cannot express enough how much each donation, no matter the size, makes a difference to the lives of others.
