Hi, my name is Dominique. I have a 19-month-old daughter currently fighting for her life in the CICU. Amiyah was born August 23rd, 2023. She is a fun, loving, adorable toddler—sassy and caring. She loves to play with her sisters and cuddle with her parents.

She got sick around the end of February with cold-like symptoms like fever, tiredness, and cough while traveling back home with her father. All symptoms went away except her cough. When she would cough, she would wheeze extremely badly, and I would give her a nebulizer. This went on for a little bit. She went to the doctor on March 12; her primary didn't find any issues and advised to keep doing the breathing treatment when needed and follow up if it got worse.

Saturday night/Sunday morning, Amiyah woke up and her chest was beating extremely fast. I assumed it was breathing-related and gave another treatment. It seemed to help a little, so I watched her throughout the day. I noticed during nap time her chest was still beating pretty fast even while asleep. At this time, me and her dad were both concerned and said if it didn't calm down in about an hour after the breathing treatment, we would take her in. We were admitted to the children's hospital on March 17th. Amiyah has been intubated since March 17th. She is currently in heart failure due to a virus called Parvo and an underlying heart condition. The doctors called this Myocardiopathy. She will have to reside at the hospital until she can receive a heart transplant. She is currently recovering from her first open-heart surgery.

In the middle of all of this, I lost my job. I am asking for any donations to help my family get by for the next few months in this hard time. With Amiyah being in the hospital full-time, it is hard to travel back and forth to get her older sister to school and also to come back to the hospital and watch over Amiyah during this time, as well as look for a job that will understand my position with her being admitted to the hospital.

And if you aren’t able to donate that is understandable please share with people you know and keep praying for her . That’s my biggest ask is prayer to guide us through this hardship
