Amiee’s memorial walk

Hi everyone we are going to be doing a fundraising for our beautiful gorgeous daughter Amiee Shillinglaw who at only 16 passed away on the morning of 05/03/2020 Amiee, two days earlier Amiee suffered a horrific brittle asthma attack at home, it was a normal day nothing out of the ordinary we started by leaving the house at 8am while Amiee was in bed as she didn’t have to be at collage till 11am we took our son to school and our daughter to collage half way to collage Amiee called Julie (mum) to say she was having an asthma attack so I quickly turned
the car and headed home, we arrived home within 3 minutes to find Amiee really struggling to breathe so I sat her down and the landing and called an ambulance next thing Amiee collapsed, I immediately went into shock not knowing what to do so began cpr while the ambulance arrived and took over . Amiee was seen to for what seemed an eternity she was put onto a portable life machine and taken to the hospital when they tried for hours to save her life we were told not only had Amiee suffered a severe asthma attack but also a cardiac arrest and respiratory failure and needed to be taken to Manchester wythenshaw hospital for children and she was put on an ecmo machine that basically works as a heart and lungs to give her body a rest, we were told she suffered hypoxic brian injury and told the devastating news that’s she had passed during the night , the news hit us like a lorry we fell instantly to the floor screaming after out sweetheart we were all ready for a spell in the hospital waiting for her to get better , the hours and days after were numb in disbelief this couldn’t be happening to our baby she has her whole life ahead of her self with so many amazing plays to become a nail technician which she loved , her siblings Connor,Chelsea, Joe utterly devastated heartbroken and it’s been this way for 4 years now since march 2020 we had always decided to organise a fundraising day with the help of alder hay child bereavement centre where myself and wife attend but it’s been so difficult because of the pain and memories of Amiee we just can’t live without her she’s our daughter who we miss terribly nothing will ever be the same again. The asthma uk who we will also be trying to contact for advice and help . Of anyone knew or knows Amiee you’ll know her smile lit up the darkest world and we want her memory to life forever she’s selfless, loving helpful caring and a privilege to call our daughter.

thank you Amiee’s loving mum and dad
We plan to organise the fundraiser either march or beginning of the summer as we have to get some information from asthma uk and the alder hay bereavement centre but once we have it all in place I will let everyone know asap xx
Again thank you to everyone from the bottom of our hearts xx
