Honor Martin Shapiro with a donation to the American River Parkway Foundation

So many of Martin’s fondest memories of Sacramento were spent riding along the American River Bike Trail. Fresh air, good friends and exercise ending in a cold beer or hot coffee created his ideal weekend days. He so often expressed how lucky our community is to have these trails so easily accessible.

In his honor, we are sponsoring one mile of the trail as part of the American River Parkway Foundation’s  “Adopt-the-Parkway” initiative. Donations to his mile, through this fund, will go directly towards volunteer coordination, tools, and equipment to support trash removal, invasive plant management, and trail maintenance.

We will share with you where you can find his mile upon its designation.
