I have created this whip round on behalf of Ryan Taylor who is a member of our industry who is need of some help.

Ryans daughter is 13 and has a rare genetic condition called Loeys-Dietz syndrome, which affects the strength of her blood vessels. It’s an extremely uncommon condition, affecting only a very small number of people, and can cause the aorta to enlarge more quickly and unpredictably than normal. After recently being admitted to hospital with complications, further scans and monitoring have shown that she now needs major open-heart surgery at Royal Brompton Hospital, and this will need to be done fairly quickly. The operation will involve repairing or replacing the affected section of her aorta and is a life-saving procedure to prevent serious complications. It’s a complex surgery with a significant recovery period, so he will be taking time away from work to support her through the operation and the weeks that follow. The money raised will help ease the stress of not being able to work, and help provide the equipment, comforts and support she will need during her time in hospital and throughout her recovery at home
