Ambitiously Lazy Apparel Theft Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Robert Wanek Jr., Sports Editor, Wahpeton Daily News.
It recently came to my attention that Lucas Mayes, co-owner of Ambitiously Lazy Apparel from the Breckenridge-Wahpeton area, had over $2,000 in sports jerseys stolen, an entire 50-pound box. The contents included jerseys for area softball teams, youth athletics and 45 "Athlete of the Week" shirts Luke's company sponsored and paid for out of pocket. Each week, these shirts are given to athletes that we highlight in the newspaper for their achievements.
Anyone who knows Lucas and his business partner, Chuck Stahl, knows how charitable they have been in the Breckenridge-Wahpeton community. The pair has spearheaded fundraisers for cancer patients and the Independence Day fireworks show in Chahinkapa Park. They've held school supply drives. They rarely ask for anything in return.
Any donations, small or large, can help Lucas and Chuck get these jerseys reordered and into the hands of the rightful athletes. On top of making custom apparel and sponsoring local sports coverage, Lucas is a dedicated father who also works trades and coaches area youth. Any amount will go a long way, which is why I've started this fund to raise half of the stolen amount.
