Amber's Haiti Missionary Trip

A couple of years ago it became apparent that my heart was called to do a mission trip in the near future. Just like everything else in life, it had to be the right time. There was an opportunity last year but being pregnant with our daughter, I knew it wasn't the right time. Fast forward to 2017, I am presented with three potential mission trips. The one that made the most sense for me right now is Haiti. We will be partnering with our mission partner in Haiti, KORE. We will be working with the church, school and some KORE supported orphanages. http://www.korefoundation.org/
Our church will be leaving for a week long trip October 21, 2017 until October 28th, 2017. We leave the day after my 34th birthday and what a way to celebrate a new year of life! I am generally not one to ask for help and especially when it comes to finances but when you have a calling in your heart to fulfill God's work, it's hard to not ask for help during a time such as this.
I look at the life God has blessed me with and while it has it's challenges, my challenges are so minimal compared to those I will be able to serve. No contribution is too small and if you aren't able to financially help, please pray for guidance in the weeks and months ahead that everything will be provided so that I am able to make this trip happen in October. Please pray for my husband/family as they support me to leave my role as wife and mother for a week. It's the first time I will have ever been away from my husband and children for this amount of time.
The amount of $1500 is what I need to fulfill my trip to Haiti (which includes flight, place to stay, food & construction costs). There are different deadlines that I have to meet over the next couple of months. I am looking to get to my goal amount as soon as possible, so I know I have a place on the team of 12 that they are taking on this trip. I look forward to traveling and doing work in the name of Jesus!
