My name is Amber. My daughter's my daughter's friend and myself were at the lake like we have been several times before. It started off as a normal time at the lake enjoying the sun and spending time at one of our favorite spots! We had already planned on leaving and before that could happen a shooting happened. This was like a movie scene I keep reliving with the pain I go through. My daughter's and her friend are not hurt by the Grace of God. I am lucky to be alive. I was holding my 3 year old daughter when I was struck by a bullet. It traveled through both of the back of my thighs. Leaving 4 bullet holes. 2 in each leg. In shock still that it happened. I can't work as of now and Im not even sure how long my recovery will take. I'm a mom of three girls and soon to be grandma. Never would have thought being out at a lake I would lose the ability to work. Glory to God is all I can say he saved my life and protected the kids. I know I will heal with time but struggling to provide in that time is my biggest fear.

I'm so grateful to those who were there helping be with my kids, help make a tourniquet before officers on scene, helped save my life and didn't leave my side. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We are Alive and Blessed! Anyone who has prayed and continues to pray it's working. Glory to God
