Help Amber dance in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

We are fundraising to help pay the cost to send Amber to dance in the 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Amber has been dancing since in the womb because her mom taught and performed clogging while pregnant. As soon as she could walk, Amber was dancing on stages across Western North Carolina with her mom's clogging team, the Mountain Thunder Cloggers. She began her formal dance training at Center Stage Dance Studio in Asheville, NC at age two. At age seven, she began competing with her studio's company team. Amber performed her first tap solo when she was nine years old and her passion for tap, as well as all forms of dance, continued to grow. She pushed through the Covid outbreak by continuing to train in classes online with her studio, at Steps on Broadway in NYC and with professional NYC tap dancer, Felipe Galganni. She has put countless hours into training, learning and growing her dance skills and works hard to acheive her goals.

Back in April, Amber competed her solo at a large dance competition, Showstopper , in Concord, NC. Out of around 90 teens, Amber placed 1st overall and was awarded the "Golden Ticket Award" which grants her the opportunity to dance at the 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with no audition required.

This invitation is provided through Spirit of America Productions and the price includes many items:

The price for her to go alone and be paired with 3 other girls in a room is $2,800.00. This price does not include activity fees such as ice-skating, carriage rides, museum admissions, etc. and includes no travel costs to actually get to NYC. She also will be required to purchase on her own a pair of athletic/dance shoes, special black athletic pants and a black layer to be worn for warmth underneath event sweatshirt for Monday night rehearsal. We are estimating with the extra activity fees and travel, just her cost alone will be around $3,500.00.

Our family realizes this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and even though the cost is so high, we hope to be able to raise enough money to allow Amber to experience dancing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Thank you for helping to make this dream a reality!

If any money is collected over $3,500.00, it will go directly to Amber’s yearly dance classes, competition costs, workshop fees, and any additional training.
