Amazon workers at LDJ5 fight for their rights!
Donation protected
Every hour, Jeff Bezos makes $7,900,000. It would take the average Amazon worker at the LDJ5 warehouse on Staten Island 140 years working 8 hours every single day to make what Jeff Bezos makes in a single hour.
For this reason and many others, workers at our warehouse are organizing to fight for better. We demand change, and we demand respect. On January 16th, 2024 delivered a letter signed by over 200 workers to management. Their demands are as follows:
- An end to the 3 year limit on guaranteed raises.
- Equal work for equal pay.
- A starting salary of $21/hour to match the industry standard set by UPS.
- Better training for all workers and management.
- A voice in decision making related to warehouse changes.
All money donated will go into a fund for providing mutual aid, buying supplies for workplace organizing, supporting unjustly fired workers, providing training for workers who are new to organizing, and more.
The brave workers at LDJ5 are going up against one of the richest and most powerful companies in the world and they need all the help they can get. Can the Amazon workers who deliver essential goods to New Yorkers every day count on you to have their backs?
