Help Reunite Wagner & AmandaSupport a Family Fighting to Be Together At Home Again
Dear Friends and Family,
We are reaching out on behalf of Wagner and Amanda—two people who have spent their lives loving, giving, and supporting others—and who now urgently need our help to bring their family back together.
Wagner came to the U.S. as a teenager seeking a better future. Here, he met Amanda, fell in love, and built a life centered on family, faith, and hard work. He became a loving father to Amanda’s first son, Leo, and selflessly cared for Amanda’s nephew, Levi, through his long illness—standing by him until Levi’s heartbreaking passing at just 16 years old. Together, Wagner and Amanda raised their four boys: Gabriel, Samuel, Nathan, and Landon.
Even while working to legalize his immigration status, Wagner was deported due to complications in the process. Determined to keep their family together, Amanda courageously took their sons and moved to Brazil to be with him.
Now, after months of struggle and uncertainty, Amanda is returning to the U.S. to continue the immigration process and fight to bring her husband home. She’ll be carrying much of the weight—caring for their children (two of whom have special needs) while rebuilding their life and managing the complex legal journey to reunite their family.
Amanda’s strength has already been tested in profound ways. She has faced serious health challenges, including a heart attack, yet continues to meet every trial with unwavering faith and determination.
We’re raising $15,000 to help cover the many expenses tied to this complicated and emotional process:
• ✈️ Plane tickets for Amanda and the boys: $1,500–$2,000
• ⚖️ Attorney fees: $7,000
• Immigration forms (including I-601 and others): $3,000–$4,000
• Motion to Reopen Wagner’s case: $1,040
• Required physical exam for Wagner: $500
• Travel to the U.S. Embassy in Rio for immigration interview: $300–$400
• Ongoing phone service for Amanda’s U.S. number (AT&T): Helps her stay connected internationally during this process
• And there will be other miscellaneous expenses arise as we have already found in this immigration journey
Wagner had good savings—but those were spent caring for Levi in his final months. Now, he works in construction in Brazil, earning about $18 a day—not nearly enough to cover legal fees or travel costs.
Their attorney recently shared hopeful news: because Wagner had already started his paperwork in the U.S., he may only need to remain outside the country for up to five years—but this process must still be completed.
Amanda and Wagner have always been the kind of people who open their home, their table, and their hearts to others. Now it’s our turn to show up for them.
Any money raised beyond immigration-related expenses will go directly to Amanda and the boys to help them rebuild their lives here in the U.S.—they are truly starting over from scratch, but not without hope.
Please donate if you can. Share this with others. Pray for them. Every bit of support makes a difference.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Amanda on her U.S. number or reach out to me (Buddy) on Facebook Messenger. You can also follow Amanda or myself on FB and we will be sharing each step of their journey and you will be able to see your giving at work!
Thank you for being part of this journey to bring a loving husband and father home—and to keep hope alive for a family that has never stopped fighting for each other.
With gratitude,
Buddy (on behalf of Wagner & Amanda)
