Our Adoption Journey

Hello, again! After our last adoption pursuit did not play out, we were settling in to continue our wait. We did not anticipate that meant only waiting an extra couple of weeks! Without the time to go into too much detail, I will fast forward to our current situation. As of yesterday, we became a family of five! Yes, that means 3 kids, two parents, outnumbered... It has been a whirlwind and we are still processing what just happened! Because we had such an outpouring of support last time, and because many of you expressed interest in supporting us in the future, we have decided to restart our campaign, to reflect our current needs. As I type, we are hanging out, in an out of state hotel room. (For online confidentiality reasons, I cannot share too many details.) As mentioned, there is a sweet little addition with us and she is a delight!! The situation arose out of a very immediate need, and we felt a great peace to move forward. As we contine the process, we will need to remain out of state, until the paperwork transfers to our home state. This could take 2-3 weeks. Because of the expense of needing a hotel, as well as the additional costs involved with an out-of-state placement, we will use any amounts raised to put toward these things. As I had mentioned during our last campaign, we do not take these gifts lightly. We are beyond blessed to have been so supported through the ups and downs of this journey, and cannot thank our family and friends enough. The way this week has unfolded has been nothing short of incredible and we very much look forward to starting this next chapter for our family!
