Keep Building Together: Re-Elect the Team That’s Getting It Done
We are the Keep Building Together slate, a team of proven leaders and rank-and-file organizers who have dedicated ourselves to building real worker power at JFK8 and across the country.

Our candidates:
  • Connor Spence — President
  • Arlene Kingston — Vice President
  • Kathleen Cole — Secretary-Treasurer
  • Sultana Hossain — Recording Secretary
  • Wajdy Bzezi — Trustee
  • Joelle Jean — Trustee
  • Novelette Russell — Trustee

Under our leadership, our union has made historic progress, and we’re just getting started. Every week, workers meet at our union hall at 600 Gulf Avenue, a space built by JFK8 workers, for JFK8 workers. It’s where we strategize, build unity, and turn frustration into power.

Our Mission Statement:
The Amazon Labor Union-IBT Local 1 is a worker-led union committed to transforming conditions at one of the most powerful corporations in the world. We are a fighting union, built by and for Amazon workers, who refuse to accept exploitation as the cost of survival.

Founded by warehouse workers at the JFK8 Fulfillment Center in Staten Island, New York, we organize to win dignity, safety, justice, and lasting power for Amazon employees, especially the Black, brown, immigrant, disabled, LGBTQ+, and working-class communities who form the backbone of Amazon's global operations.

We are building a bold and democratic labor movement grounded in equity, solidarity, and grassroots leadership that rejects the status quo of corporate domination, political inaction, and top-down unionism.

Our mission is to forge a militant, worker-led movement at Amazon that inspires workers everywhere to rise up, organize, and take power into our own hands.

Our Vision Statement:
We envision a future where Amazon is no longer controlled by billionaires and shareholders but by the workers who make it run.

A future where those who lift, move, ship, and sort the goods that power the global economy have true control over their labor, their safety, and their lives.

We are organizing toward a worker-controlled Amazon where decisions are made democratically, not dictated from the top. In this future, warehouses are governed by the people who work in them, not by algorithms or profit margins. Production is guided by human needs, not corporate greed. And workers are respected not as tools, but as the heart and mind of the company.

This vision is not a dream deferred; it is a plan in motion.

Through deep organizing, strategic action, and rank-and-file leadership, we are building a labor movement powerful enough to challenge corporate domination and win structural change. We believe Amazon can and must be transformed from a symbol of exploitation into a model of workplace democracy.

This is our future. We are not waiting for permission to build it—we’re organizing to take it.

Our Track Record:
  • Building Power From the Ground Up - We’ve fundraised thousands of dollars to launch programs that train workers, defend against unfair discipline, and support each other through mutual aid.
  • Leading the Largest Amazon Strike in U.S. History - Our team led the first and largest national strike at Amazon, putting thousands of workers on the map and showing what collective power looks like. And we’re not stopping, we plan to do it again, ten times bigger.
  • Community Solidarity - We launched a national support network that’s brought hundreds of thousands of public supporters into our movement for Amazon workers’ rights.
  • Training Leaders, Winning on the Floor - We’ve trained over 100 worker leaders inside JFK8 to organize their departments and led dozens of marches on the boss. We’ve won reinstatements, stopping unfair terminations, demanding safety fixes, and even winning small but meaningful victories like the right to wear headphones.
  • Worker Protection & Defense - We’ve fought over 250 grievance cases, defending jobs, securing backpay, and overturning unjust writeups.
  • Allies & Partnerships - We’ve built strong coalitions with community organizations and elected officials to fight for stronger accommodation laws, heat protections, and workplace safety standards.

Where We’re Going:
  • Win a Strong First Contract - We’re building a comprehensive campaign to hit Amazon where it hurts — their bottom line — while fighting every day to make our jobs safer and more secure.
  • Scale Up Our Strikes - We’re preparing to strike in majority numbers, not just at JFK8, but across the New York area and beyond. Under our plan, a historic, coordinated worker uprising is within reach.
  • Grow Worker Leadership - We’re going to train 250–500 more workers to be organizers, stewards, communicators, and campaign leaders; the backbone of a truly democratic union.
  • Face the Future of Work - We’re launching a campaign to take on Amazon’s use of AI and automation to control, surveil, and exploit workers, and demand a future where technology serves people, not profit.

Why We’re Asking for Your Support:
Running a union election costs money: printing flyers, hosting events, creating materials, feeding volunteers, and reaching every worker in the building. We don’t have corporate donors. We have each other.

Your donation, big or small, helps us keep our union worker-run!

When you give to Keep Building Together, you’re not just funding a campaign, you’re investing in the movement that’s already making history.

Let’s keep moving forward.
