Hey there, it’s your friend Early! I have been helping folks find empowerment in the face of addiction through my nonprofit organization Recovery Demystified since Dry January 2025. I have yet to meet a person who hasn’t felt the pain caused by addiction, whether it is through their own experience or that of a loved one.

I am so excited to announce that I have been invited to GiveCampNWA weekend, where a group of skilled volunteers will be building Recovery Demystified a free website! They get together once a year to create websites for nonprofit organizations who otherwise would be unable to afford the cost of paying someone. I am extremely grateful for their generous offer, and I definitely couldn’t do it without them.

This means that instead of raising $5,000+ dollars to pay someone to build us a website, I am instead raising $300 so I can attend GiveCampNWA weekend! Aren’t I thrifty?

The weekend of October 3-5th I will be taking off work and traveling from my home in Winslow to their location in Rogers in order to work with their staff to create a website for RD. I am raising $300 to compensate for my lost wages (I still work full time waiting tables in a restaurant, y’all) and the cost of gas to and from Rogers for the weekend. Your generosity will make this work possible, and having a well-built website will allow us to reach an even wider audience of people seeking science-based addiction recovery resources.

If I surpass the initial goal, I would graciously accept additional donations as payment for my work at Recovery Demystified for the past ten months. I put in about 20 hours per week as a volunteer to bring our community science based, non-religious addiction recovery support groups, social events, along with a podcast and an e-mail list.
