The Alperts are running a 5K!

As many of you know, Ava and Ben are currently pursuing their black belts through Personal Best Karate after many years of hard work. One of the amazing things this martial arts school does is sponsor the Turkey Trot and Thanksgiving Brigade each year through their charitable organization, Personal Best Charity. We are so excited to be part of this wonderful cause this year.

Personal Best Charity's mission describes it best: "Neighbors helping neighbors". Through the Turkey Trot, we will be raising funds to provide over 2,000 Thanksgiving meals to local families in need. Not only will we raise the funds, but the kids will also help package these meals themselves at the Brigade a few weeks later to prepare for delivery. We believe this kind of hands-on community service fosters kindness and gratitude, traits that are essential to becoming the best versions of ourselves- one of the black belt pillars.
