Alona's Fight

Alona is 6 y/o ray of sunshine. She is raised by her mother Courtney Portley. One night her mother took her into the hospital for stomach pain, only to find out that Alona needed to be transferred to children’s hospital immediately  to have one of  her kidneys removed. She has recently been diagnosed with Anaplastic sarcoma and has started chemo and radiation. As Alona is fighting for her life, her mother Courtney who is a single mother and nurse isn’t able to keep up with work having to travel back and forth from Longview to Dallas every week. Alona is only 6, and we are praying for a long life ahead. Courtney is a dear friend to me, and her daughter is the light of her life.
