ALMONTE FAMILY EXPECTING TRIPLETS!
Donation protected
My name is Stephanie Macspurren. Five months ago, my son was born 8 weeks premature. My husband and I spent a month driving back and forth from Almonte to the hospital until we could finally bring our little bundle home just before Christmas. It was a difficult month for our family but we had everything we needed for our first born. This does not compare to what my friend, Alexandra York Dupuis and her husband Steve Savoie are facing.
Alex and Steve have a two-and-a-half-year-old son, Lennox, and learned a few weeks ago that they are expecting triplets: THREE BOYS! They are going from being a family of three to a family of six. FOUR BABIES UNDER THE AGE OF THREE!! They are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude but reality is hitting them hard. How are they going to provide for three more babies? Alex and Steve currently rent a small two-bedroom house in Almonte. Steve is a construction worker and Alex is a stay-at-home mom. They drive a 2010 Mazda which is in need of repair after a recent close encounter with a deer.
The triplets are due to be born in September but may be delivered early and require hospital care for a few weeks. Alex and Steve will need a reliable vehicle for the daily commute from Almonte to the city, not to mention one that will accommodate three infant car seats as well as Lennox’s toddler seat. Triplets! Three of everything! That means three cribs, a suitable stroller, clothing for three newborns, bottles, diapers, formula, pacifiers; the list goes on and on.
I am asking the Almonte and Carleton Place community to show this family some love and support. THEY NEED OUR HELP! Your donations will have a huge impact on this family, right in your home town. Together, perhaps we can give Alex and Steve a little peace of mind. Let’s show them what this Friendly Town is all about and how we take care of our own. Thank you for your generosity!
