We are Karmel Mosque Minnesota Youth group. We are working to fundraiser for a cemetery project that cost several hundred thousands of dollar. In the past it has been very costly to do a funeral. Now we have the opportunity to make cost-free cemetery project to come to life.
We have purchased the land of 72 acres in a city called Farmington. We wanted to build the cemetery as in the picture that follow. This cemetery will benefit the Muslim community in Minnesota as well the Midwest. Many people die every year.
We need the funds as soon as possible because we are running out time to build and our fundraiser is on 27th of June. Please donate. Your support means a lot to us. Every donation counts.
Brothers and Sisters in Islam we are excited about our future as a community here in the state of Minnesota. With the permission of Allah, Al Maghfirah Cemetery Association has secured a 72 acre property that will become our first exclusive Muslim cemetery to bury our beloved ones here in the state of Minnesota. Our mission is to provide a high quality, affordable, accessible cemetery that is in accordance to our Islamic values (Quran and Sunnah). This property is so large that experts have estimated that it will endure for nearly 200 years. SubhanAllah imagine the amount of Muslims who will benefit from this project for generations to decades to centuries. In preparing ourselves for our factual home we reminisce on the saying of the great companion.
Ibn ' Umar reports: "I came to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and I was the tenth of the first ten people (who embraced Islam). A man from among the Ansar got up and said: "O Prophet of Allah, who is the wisest and the most prudent among the people?" The Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) replied: "Those who are most aware of death and prepare themselves for it. They are the wisest of people and will have honor in this world and a generous reward in the Hereafter'."
So by building this cemetery we are helping the community as a whole and bringing people together in these hard times
Accepting this reality we have made it our core principal to invest and prepare a space for our community to bury their deceased. It has been arduous struggles to reach where we are today. However, we have overcome city disavowals, won court appeals, and invested hundred thousands of dollars into this project. Alhumdulilah now we have reached the final stages; in which we need to landscape the land, build parking lots, and construct a Mosalah (Prayer) area for washing and praying on the deceased. Below you will find outlines of the cemetery design. We are in need of your support, please donate today and make this project come to reality.
