I will be running the London Marathon for Stonewall Housing! ️
Stonewall Housing is the leading national charity supporting LGBTQ+ people
in the UK who are experiencing homelessness or living in unsafe
environments.
They support over 2,000 LGBTQ+ people each year into safer homes as well as
providing housing advice, mental health advocacy and support for people fleeing
domestic abuse, forced marriage and so-called honour-based violence.
Working with a number of partnerships, they are committed to working together to be
able to reach more people in the community.
97% of Stonewall Housing’s service users say “it’s important to me that I have
workers who understand what it’s like to be LGBTQ+”

As an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, I believe it is essential to stay active in
promoting the work of Stonewall Housing and in doing so, securing the safety and
rights of LGBTQ+ people.
Stonewall Housing are the leaders of their sector, working tirelessly for an
underrepresented community, which is why they are my chosen charity for running
the London marathon.
Training for the London Marathon this year will challenge me mentally and
physically, going from leisurely hiker to long-distance runner.
However, with every step of the 26.2 miles, and with your help and support, I will
proudly adorn the Pride Flag (for millions to see) while raising awareness
for Stonewall Housing to help more people benefit from their services.
LGBTQ+ people must continue the ability to access Stonewall
Housing's free and confidential services.
