Question? Would you adopt a 2 year old child with cerebral palsy that is also blind and then adopt his sister to keep the family together? Some would like to THINK we would but someone has stepped forward and actually made the commitment despite the medical care and financial hardship that this selfless act carries with it.
Allan Trepcyk who works in our pro shop and his wife Tracy have shown what true commitment is in providing a loving and caring home for these children. The attached video outlines the background to this story and the neglect and indifference of our justice system with respect to these children. Now it`s our turn to mobilize and support Allan and his family. Thru the website gofundme.com we have a vehicle in which we can donate to the family to help defray the cost of care which will be an ongoing burden for years to come. Here are some suggestions how we can attract additional support.
1) Share this story with your regular golf groups to increase participation.
2) Forward this email to people on your contact list as that would act as a multiplier to spread the story.
3)If you are still working perhaps a request against the company charitable contribution budget might be appropriate.
4) Talk to your church to see if you can generate inters in supporting the cause.
As this campaign is not a registered 501C for tax purposes, donations received are not tax deductible. Please visit gofundme.com and search under "Allan at Pinewild" and make a donation to this worthy cause. Your generosity will make a profound difference in the lives of this wonderful family. It seems the least we can do. Thanks for your consideration.
