The "All Youth Can Eat" campaign to fight hunger

Hey everybody, it’s Kwabi and I'm here to tell you more about my new Humanitarian Campaign, “All Youth Can Eat” !

The “All Youth Can Eat” humanitarian campaign, will take place from July 1st-September 1st 2024, as a means towards addressing the issue of hunger within our community, helping those who need it most.

Currently in Washington State, 1 in 8 children are experiencing hunger, while 4 out of 10 college students reported experiencing food insecurity. The “All-Youth-Can-Eat” humanitarian campaign is designed to fight hunger for all youth during the summer, where food insecurity is at its highest.

Where: The campaign will take place within the city limits of Seattle and Tacoma and will happen between July 1st and September 1st.

How it works: Each restaurant involved in the campaign picks a day out of the week as well as a specific time frame on that day where they will give a free meal to any youth who comes to the restaurant asking to participate in the program. Typically the restaurant picks low cost items from their menu to create a special “All Youth Can Eat” Menu so that the young person participating in the program can pick from a variety of foods.

This year we are focusing on feeding College Students 24 and under (with college ID) as well as kids 18 and under. Each individual restaurant will decide which group they’d like to serve.

Partnering restaurants, campaign days, times, menus, and sponsors will be revealed later on as we get closer to the beginning of the campaign on July 1st.

Over the last two summers, local restaurants have teamed up with me to feed over 3000 kids and now this summer we hope to help those college students who are struggling too!

Money Donate to “All Youth Can Eat” Will go towards helping certain restaurants with extra food expenses for the campaign.
