RB Records All Rise- Vinyl LP Launch

My name's Sinéad Nic Síoda. I run the Record Break, record shop and café, in Ennis town, Ireland.

Following the untimely passing of my Life Partner and best friend ,Shaun Meates, I organised a church concert, and had it recorded live, to create a vinyl record in Shaun's Memory. Shaun also features on this record, with his own solo guitar instrumental, I retrieved from his laptop. I received so much support and am forever grateful.

In fact, the album, I sent to the pressing plant in November 2023, consists of renowned RB music café contributors such as: Emma Langford, The Davies Brothers, Senan M. Grá-C, Claire Watts, Luka Bloom, Gráinne Hunt, Su Hammond and the Robin BiBi Yorkestra. The album is top class, an excellent compilation and a truly beautiful record reflecting our mutual love of music, especially that of our locality and our community.

The music project went perfectly. The concert was a true blessing, celebrated by so many. However, in April of 2024 the manufacturers of our record printing went into liquidation. (Please see video) Consequently , I have since then attempted to retrieve the stampers so that we can send them to an alternative pressing plant but so far, I travelled to Dublin and back, in vain. To add insult to injury I have tied up shop finance into the making of this vinyl LP. I did not expect it to interfere negatively with our independent record shop. If anything it would add to us. I remained confident my funding such a project would be returned once we launched the album,. and had intended this for early spring of 2024 and yes this would have been the case if the pressing plant had not liquidated. Had I foreseen the circumstances of the Irish pressing plant I would not now be minus 2, 500 Euro, the sum we now require to get this vinyl over the finish line. I don't want to give up on my and Shaun's dream If I can recuperate 2,500 for this album I know I can bring it into full fruition. A record of our concert forever in hand. A record of those pre-records from times of yore. A record that lasts lifetimes.. A dedication to the memory of my one true Love!
