All Directions is a lively, fun and engaging setting for many adults with various special needs of all different ages from all different backgrounds! We are a person-centred, highly accessible, and stimulating environment that promotes independence, social inclusion, and physical well-being. All Directions is a community hub where individuals are treated with dignity, empowered to develop life skills, and given control over their daily routines.
Our setting is adapted to meet the needs of our students with various different features such as ramps, hoists, an amazing sensory room, a gym, a nail bar and beauty room, a library and classroom, a wonderful garden, a large hall and snug rooms for chatting with friends.
Our activities focus on achieving personal goals! They are planned to allow individuals to meet their own targets they have set. We focus on:
Life Skills Training: Hands-on practice with practical everyday tasks like cookery, budgeting, domestic chores, and utilizing public transit. Key skills such as money, time, reading and writing.
Creative Arts: Arts and crafts, woodwork, music, dance, drama, talent shows and choir practice.
Health & Fitness: Accessible exercise programs ranging from swimming to chair-based exercise, dance, tennis, football, gym, and bagmington
Vocational Pathways: Supported volunteering opportunities, gardening, working in our kitchen, working in our tea room, washing cars and taking responsibilities for special tasks around the building.
We connect with the community, offering transport and various trips out and activities for everyone! These include: trips to London, visits to libraries and museums, going to community sports, visiting the local nursing home, going on boat trips, trips out on trains and buses, visits to the seaside, trips to National Trust houses and gardens and MANY more!
We are a non-profit organisation and do as much fund raising as we can but we are now in high demand with increasing numbers of care users and as costs continue to rise we are in need of raising more funds to ensure that we can continue the work that we do!
This is where we are asking for any donations you are able to make, however big or small, it will be so gratefully received! We want to be able to continue working to our high standards, ensuring staff have the most up to date training, and providing more enrichment activities for our care users at as little cost to them as possible!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read all about All Directions and thank you in advance for any donations you are able to make!
