Hello, my name is Emily, and I’m helping raising funds for my friend Alisa who just lost her only means of transportation, her wheelchair-accessible van. Alisa has never let anything hold her back. Born with cerebral palsy and using a wheelchair, she’s built an incredible life through determination, humor, and hard work. She earned her degree in Public Relations, works in the banking industry, and recently celebrated her first wedding anniversary with her husband, Sanjay - the love of her life, and her biggest supporter and cheerleader.

Unfortunately, the wheelchair-accessible van that Alisa and Sanjay rely on for everything - from getting to medical appointments and work (to pay the family bills) to visiting family and running errands - has recently broken down beyond repair. Without it, the independence she’s fought so hard for is suddenly out of reach.

Since her mother’s recent passing, being able to visit family and stay connected has become even more important. A new accessible van would mean safety, freedom, and the ability to fully participate in everyday life - everything an able-bodied person can do without thinking twice.

The total cost for a new accessible van and necessary modifications is about $50,000. Every contribution helps bring Alisa closer to the independence and peace of mind she deserves.
