Please help our dear friend Alina and her family in this time of need. What was supposed to be one of the happiest times, has turned into a life and death struggle. Alina is a new Mom, she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Sophia last week. Everything seemed fine until Alina developed post partum complications which put her in ICU on a ventilator only hours after Sophia was born. A blood clot traveled to her brain, and she had to have surgery twice so far. Due to the nature of these complications, Alina is going to require a lengthy rehabilitation process. She will be out of work for a long time and unable to go home and enjoy her new baby girl.
As many people know, Alina works hard everyday. She is a Medical Social Worker at a local hospital and dedicates her life to helping others.
Alina only has her sister and the baby's father here to help her. So right now we need to pull together and support her and her family in any way that we can. She may not be blood related, but she is our family!
