Hi, my name is Alice, I'm 15yrs old and currently in Yr 11 at High School. The school are hosting a once in a lifetime opportunity, along with a charity called African Adventures for me to go and volunteer in Kenya, to either teach young children in schools or help build new classrooms for schools in areas of extreme poverty.

This will have an immense impact on not just the children, but the local community and me too. This trip will enable me to inspire young children and take learning beyond the classroom and develop new skills, whilst contributing to real change.

In order to show my commitment, my school and the charity would like me to fundraise as much as I can towards the trip rather than expecting my parents to pay, so I have an understanding of hard work and determination.

To try and raise as much as possible, these are some of things I've committed to so far:

*Tuck shop at summer events selling home made cakes and drinks.

*Selling sweets at local football matches.

*Halloween event, selling seasonal items and selling homemade cakes.

*Having a stall at a local event selling Christmas stocking fillers.

*Christmas Coffee morning and toy drop off for underprivileged families at Christmas.
