Volunteering in Africa
Donation protected
So as some of you are aware, I am taking myself to the root of Africa in September to do some volunteering in a remote village in Tanzania, where help is needed. It's something I have always dreamt of doing so I am finally getting on and doing it. I thought it would be a good idea to raise as much money as possible so when I get there I can provide families and young children with the things they need. As I will mainly be working in a school, with the money I have raised I will be getting stationery, books, netballs, sports equipment etc so I can give it to the children when I'm there. I will be taking a lot of pictures along the way so you can clearly see where all the money that is donated has gone.
If I raise enough and have money left over, I will split this between the school and the orphange I will be working in.
I'm taking part in a few crazy obstacle courses along the way until September, to help with the fundraising so I will keep you updated.
After the volunteering, I will be going from the roots to the roof of Africa and I will be taking on the challange of climbing the mighty Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. I will have left the village so any money I raise from this, I will donate to Save the Children and Water Aid.
I hope you can all check your pockets and get donating and hopefully we can put a few smiles on some childrens faces :)
