Alice and Mike's Fertility Journey

Alice and Mike talked about their shared desire to start a family early on in their relationship.

After they were married in 2019, Alice stopped taking birth control so they could begin having children. They tried, unsuccessfully for a year before Alice was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis.

Endometriosis doesn't preclude a couple from having children but can make it challenging.

Alice and Mike have opted to try IVF. In Washington state, this procedure and associated medications are not covered by insurance and is expensive.
