Alex's Tanzania 2026 Expedition – Building & Sharing Music!

I am incredibly lucky to have been selected to take part in Tanzania 2026, an amazing school expedition through Milnes High School and the Vine Trust. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will allow me to travel to Tanzania and help build homes for families who desperately need them. It’s a humbling experience that will not only change their lives but will also open my eyes to the challenges so many people face daily.

As well as taking part in the building work, I also plan to use my musical talents to give something extra to the community. I hope to be able to teach music through fiddle and guitar, sharing the joy of music with local people in the evenings. If travel logistics allow, I also hope to take both a fiddle and a guitar to leave behind, giving others the chance to continue playing and learning long after we have left.
