Hi my name is Alex and last year my family got some news that my aunt had been diagnosed with breast cancer. We were all devastated and looking at the battle she has gone through and still is going through I figured that we know only a little bit about breast cancer but no where near enough as we should, which is why I have decided to run the Athy half marathon as a way to put myself through a physical and mental challenge somewhat similar to what she went through every day while recovering and going through treatment. It would mean a great deal if you guys could help and support me support my aunt and many many other women who go through what she went through.
