Help Alexis Sanchez Replace Her Car
Donation protected
Hello,
We are asking for your help to replace the vehicle of Alexis Sanchez so she can serve
the teens and their families around the Greater Philadelphia area.
Alexis grew up in an urban single parent household in San Antonio, Texas and learned
how to support herself from a young age. Her ambition in athletics and school
led her to Colorado to pursue medical school where she was converted. Alexis
took a step of faith to go into the ministry. She let go of her dreams to go to
medical school and chose to support herself as she served and trained in
ministry for a year in Colorado. After doing this her passion for ministry grew
even more and she enrolled for the 15-month ministry training program Chance of
a Lifetime. After accepting the job to come serve fulltime in Youth &
Family Ministry in Philadelphia she knew she would need a car. She purchased a
reliable used car, using most of her savings, from a disciple in Boston. A few
days later on the way to Temple for our campus led service a person ran a light
and totaled her vehicle.
After weeks of diligent work on Alexis' part (meeting with police officers, consulting
both parties' insurance, trying to find footage of the accidents) and a series
of unfortunate events it turns out Alexis will not be receiving any money for
the vehicle. Firstly, the full coverage which was verbally negotiated with a
reputable insurance agency was not the insurance policy reflected in the
documents signed. Secondly, although the police and Alexis' insurance say the
other driver was at fault, the other insurance is finding Alexis at fault. Due
to the nature of this and lack of evidence Alexis does not have the room to
appeal without further putting herself at risk.
Here is where we are asking for your help. The cost of purchasing the car, towing, moving,
and starting a new career Alexis is not in a financial position to purchase another
car. We are asking a few parents of current or former teens to donate to help
get Alexis another car to serve the GPCC. Audie Monday and Chip Mitchell have
agreed to consult in this process, so we make sure that Alexis is covered, and
the money is used wisely.
Thank you for your consideration.
