3 days ago ~680 people were detained in an ICE raid in Mississippi. Today, I’m traveling to Mississippi to conduct intakes, find out what immigration relief is available to detainees, and determine their eligibility for bond.
As an immigration attorney in Atlanta, I spend a lot of time in detention centers and in immigration court fighting for people’s freedom. As a result, I’m uniquely equipped to help the victims of the ICE raids in Mississippi.
On the attorney volunteer call, we were told that the Hampton Inn near the church where volunteers are congregating costs about $95.00 a night. I hope to raise $500.00 to cover lodging, gas for my Jeep, and food for a few days. Thank you so much for your support!
