To my dear family and friends,

One of my greatest joys and passions is global health and working in service of others. This February, I will be traveling to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for 4 weeks to partake in an international surgical and medical rotation focusing on the care and surgical managment of the disenfranchised pediatric and adult population living in Ho Chi Minh City. 

As a 4th year medical student, my clinical knowledge and experience has grown tremendously since the last time I have worked abroad, and I am so excited to be able to participate as a skilled medical provider on this amazing trip. During this rotation, I will be able to assist the Head and Neck Surgeons on cleft lip and palate repairs, and provide thorough clinical examination of non-surgical patients. It has been a dream of mine to be able to travel to Vietnam, and I can see no better way to experience this amazing country. 

I am hoping to raise $3,500 in funds to cover my travel fees, visa application and housing for the duration of my trip. Any donation at all world mean the world to me. 

I feel an immense amount of gratitude thinking back on my medical school journey and cannot believe that it is almost coming to an end. I am partaking in this trip as a way to honor my education and also to be able to give back.
