I’m starting this GoFund me for my beautiful baby sister & her amazing family. She is not very good at asking for help so this took some convincing. We appreciate you reading her story.

Alexa was in a terrible accident in January. She was rear ended while on her way to work. EMS needed to use the jaws of life to pull her from her car. We are just so grateful she’s alive.

She broke her pelvis, fractured her back, lacerated her kidney, suffered a concussion as well as nerve damage that has left her with unimaginable pain. She spent 10 days in the hospital and underwent a 9 hr surgery to repair her pelvis. Not to mention the recovery that is to come as she will need to learn to re-walk.

Currently she is non weight bearing on one leg due to the severity of the pelvis break. It was determined this would be the case for about 3 months. She has been away from her four beautiful boys and husband for many nights staying with family due to the amount of stairs in her home. She is so grateful for the help she’s received thus far.

The prayers & good vibes being sent her way are felt & we’re so grateful for that.

Alexa is the only income they’ve had since welcoming their first child in 2018. I am so grateful that she has a supportive partner who takes care of their four boys so that she can live her dream working full time.

Since the accident it has been severely hard on her body and mental health. As well as her husband’s. He has the boys full time day & night while she recovers. They’re so confused why mom can’t come home yet.

Alexa went from a very active lifestyle to having to rely on someone for any basic need. Her boys lives have changed immensely as their mom is no longer able to do the things she used to.

I’m sure you can imagine how emotionally challenging it would be to go from being mobile to not. She has been incredible at getting back to normal as much as her body can handle & continues to defy the odds everyday.

My hope in creating this GoFund me is to lighten some of the financial burden for her and her family. The person who hit had minimal insurance so it’s not going to cover the cost of medical bills that are already coming in.

They will be using the funds to help with food, & meals. Any life expenses &

medical expenses from the accident as well as the care my sister will need for recovery.
