Alex Halbesleben's Eagle Scout Project
Thanks to your generosity, we raised more than enough money to cover the costs of my Eagle project. Additional funds were donated to the Ashley Therese Perret Harrison Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund at the University of Alabama and will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the UA Alumni Association. Thank you for your support! Photos of the finished project are below.
Hello! I am Alex Halbesleben, a Boy Scout working towards the rank of Eagle Scout. With the blessing of the Harrison family and owners of the field, I will beautify the Ashley Harrison and Pups Memorial Garden in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Ashley Harrison sadly passed away in the April 27, 2011 Tuscaloosa, Alabama tornado. Ashley, a student at the University of Alabama, was smart, caring, and an advocate for all.
I am fundraising to purchase supplies to enhance and create a more lasting memorial for all to enjoy. My project will install pavers around the existing stones, apply mulch around the rose bushes, plant a rose bush, and clean and paint Ashley’s chair.
Any additional funds raised beyond my goal and applied toward my project will be contributed to the Ashley Therese Perret Harrison Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund at the University of Alabama.
Thank you for helping me fund this project so I can earn my Eagle Scout and preserve Ashley’s memorial garden! I will post photos of the improvements after the project is completed.
Thank you for helping me achieve my goals!
