Alex and Kylee with an embryo transfer

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Whitney. Kylee is my best friend. Kylee and Alex have tried to have a biological baby together since 2018. It started with a surgery to open her tubes. It was successful and they were so excited but other than one chemical pregnancy they didn't get pregnant. Further testing 3 months later showed the tubes had reclosed and they could not get pregnant anymore. Afterwards they started the process of IVF. So in 2019 they started the expensive, emotionally and physically draining process. Injections, blood work, surgery, ultrasounds, stress, worry, excitement and everything in between. In February 2020 they transferred their first embryo. And it was successful! They were pregnant and over the moon. But unfortunately at 13 weeks and 5 days pregnant the babies heart stopped beating and on May 1st they delivered their angel Audrey Grace. In October they tried again with another embryo transfer. Positive pregnancy tests showed they were pregnant but it ended in another loss. They decided to wait a while and heal. In late 2021 they decided to try again. While they were starting the process of their third embryo transfer they decided that they didn't want the remaining embryos (they had 11 to start with, transferred 2 leaving 9, transferring a 3rd would leave 8 ) to become medical waste so they met with a couple also having fertility issues and they donated 5 of their remaining 8 to that family so that they could have another child. Transfer three took place February 2022 and again was successful, and then again resulted in an early loss. The embryo recipient family transferred two of their adopted embryos in April 2022 and became pregnant! One embryo didnt survive but the other kept growing! He was born on Christmas day 2022. Kylee and Alex have put so much hard work, money, love and emotions into trying to have a genetic child they created together. But despite the fact they don't have their own baby from this journey they have been so excited for this adoptive family. I know it's hard for them to see him, knowing he is the child they created together but isn't their child to have. He is their (the recipients) child. They are so happy for them and are so happy to have blessed their family despite the hurt that comes with it. They have spent almost 30k on this journey already and they want to do another transfer so they are actively saving for it. But with that said, a little help goes a long way! So if you feel compelled to help them I know they would appreciate anything. They have given those adopted embryos the chance to have a life and that family a chance to grow no matter the emotional cost to them and they have done so selflessly. So if you feel it in your heart to help them on this journey please do so! They have 3 embryos remaining and have high hopes and prayers that one of them will be the rainbow baby they have been chasing! After 4 losses a baby in their arms is what matters.
