A Houston Community Fund

Donation protected
As you know by now, a disastrous hurricane and excessive amounts of flooding have hit our city, and caused extreme damage to the homes of our community, and other parts of Houston. Due to these disasters, lots of students have lost their personal belongings, including uniforms, school supplies, and every day necessities.

Trying to bring light to this sad situation, Alyssa Davila, Jonathan Coronado, and Andrea Luna have come up with a proposal to unite our community with the idea of a fundraiser. With the money, we would buy supplies for the families in need and donate them to a local drive. It is a drive with the purpose of uniting the students and community. Although it is only one drive with limited supplies given in comparison to all the personal belongings the students may have lost, it can, and hopefully will, make a difference.

Our objective is that all of the families in our community will be able to get back on their feet after what our community went through and to instill the motto of unity during tough times. We think that, with the help of the community, we can help raise money for needed supplies, to help further students’ education and reconstruct our community regardless of the unprecedented disaster.

Basically, the money we gather from this donation will be used to buy and give out necessities for school and everyday life.
