Hi, my name is Lyrica. I am Rj’s cousin. I created this on behalf of my family and his parents Rodney and Nequita Bonds, to raise awareness for their son RJ with ALD Disease (Adrenoleukodystrophy): a terminal illness that affects boys and men taking over the brain and spinal cord. This disease has already taken over half of RJ’s brain and caused him blindness in which he now relies on his other senses like smell, touch and sound. Doctors have given him 1 year of life…

RJ is 6 years old and still full of life, as a little boy should. We are raising funds because of this incurable disease that he has developed so early in his life on this earth. My family is torn, heartbroken and speechless over hearing the news and want to give him the very best love and fun while he is here with us. 

The funds will be used to assist and accommodate his parents and our family on any days they may have to take off work to care for him during this difficult time. This includes assisting with medical bills and doctors visits. We also want RJ to experience family amusement parks with his family, like Disneyland, take him to a football game with his dads favorite team the Pittsburg Steelers and various basketball games. 

We greatly appreciate any donation you offer and even taking the time to read this. We want to raise awareness about the deadly disease and are hopeful we can be with RJ for as long as God allows him.
