Albert G. Galfetti - Superman to all who know him
Donation protected
On Thursday, November 10th - The pillar of strength in our family and his community suffered a major stroke.
Anyone who knows our brother Albert knows he is one of the hardest-working men you will ever meet. In the past few months, he re-built their pond, spent 4 days building a room for his niece from the ground up, helped get his son married, put a new roof on his house and split and stacked his wood for winter, just the weekend before. He never stops, until now...
His work was done, it was going to be his favorite time of year, and he had more than earned some time off to enjoy one of his best friends who was coming to hunt with him and his son AJ.
Alberts's stroke is considered major. We knew all along, even though he was unconscious and then in a medically induced coma, that he was there!! He gave us little signs, and we know how strong our brother is and how big his heart is. He had no other health concerns. His stroke affected both sides of his brain and the part that helps you with consciousness.
If you know Albert, you know he is not only strong and stubborn but a bit of a fighter, and he has been fighting, and like a good share of his fights, he is winning. He has regained consciousness, can speak a little, and now starting to eat and sit in a chair. He needs his sleep. We think he is just catching up from 35+ years of driving from Washington to Rutland, where he often worked 7 days a week. He has a long road to recovery. Walking and vision, for starters have been affected.
We are asking for his community's help to help him get where he needs to be. He would do anything for all of us/or you his friends. There will be many medical expenses, required modifications to his home and probably a rehabilitation period. We appreciate prayers the most as he goes down this long road to recovery. Thank you so much and please keep the prayers coming!
