Alaya’s Story

with permission from Alayas family we have set up this go fund me. Please read Alayas story below.

Alayas started secondary school 3rd of september 2025 when family noticed she had a lump on her chest when she had got home from her first day. As any parent would they got Alaya seen straight away and were told there’s a chance it could be Cancer, something no parent or family want to hear about there 11 year old daughter, niece, granddaughter or cousion. Bristol children’s hospital were very quick to get Alaya a biopsy which is a week wait for results. This week of waiting as you can imagine had been questions, unanswered questions the unknown and what if. Alaya at this point still doesn’t know what is going on as , as a family they wanted and needed to be sure of what was wrong, was it cancer, was it something else.

a week later results have come back and have confirmed Alaya has Hodgkin Lymphoma a type of blood cancer. The next question? what stage is she? stage 2/3!

Alaya starts chemotherapy this coming week ( monday 15thseptember) and will be going to Cardiff for further testing.

Alayas family have now had to sit and tell her this awful news and explain what the next steps are.

The family would like to raise money to help with travel cost, and to treat Alaya when she is home and well enough to a shopping trip or a little family holiday.
