Alaska Native Birthworkers Community Housewarming
Donation protected
The Alaska Native Birthworkers Community (ANBC) has secured a home for our team office space and for hosting community events - prenatal and postpartum drop in support circles, childbirth preparation retreats, cultural arts and crafts and plant medicine workshops and more! We have never had our own space before in our six years of organizing together, and we are inviting our community and supporters to pitch in as we begin the task of acquiring what we need to fill in our new home! Funds will be used to purchase furniture, office equipment, kitchenware, tech tools, homey decorations, etc.
Enaa baasee' / quyana cakneq / quyanaqpak for considering a donation to this fundraiser in support of our mission - to serve Native birthing families so that they feel supported, well cared for, and full of the information they need to make confident choices around reproductive health, birthing, and parenthood. In doing this, we seek to reclaim as well as create new ceremony to heal our ancestors, ourselves, and future generations who may have been harmed through the colonization of our bodies, healthcare, and birthing practices.
