help Alanna Southwell & family as she fights cancer ❤️
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Some of you may not know that towards the end of 2024 my wife Lani was diagnosed with cancer.
I'm setting up this GoFundMe in response to several people reaching out asking if there was a way they could help. Which we are so thankful for.
Alanna is currently recovering from the surgery she underwent during the second week of December to hopefully remove the bugger. Post surgery, what they had removed was sent to the lab & we're waiting to find out more. Though unfortunately during a pre-op PET scan another growth was found.
At this stage after recovering from the surgery the next step will be to investigate the other growth (scans/biopsy etc) then do a form of radiation to kill off what they couldn't see to remove during the initial surgery.
Obviously it's pretty full on, and we're currently dealing with it by crossing each bridge as they're built. She is the strongest and most incredible person I've ever met. Even before this nightmare I knew that, & her strength during this is just proving it more.
I'm not really sure what else to say other than THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to everyone that has reached out and/or offered to help in so many ways.
If you would like to help, it would be incredibly appreciated, though in absolutely no way is it expected. We know everyone is doing it tough, so if you're not in a position to help financially please feel no obligation. Please just send huge healing love her way.
Yes, we've got a road ahead. Though if anyone can smash this horror show it's our incredible Lani.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read, and if you can please share this GoFundMe with your friends and family.
Every little bit helps.
I also want to say a really special thanks to Kristen and Nige of Mix 106.3 for inviting me in for a chat to help get the word out. Our family appreciates you guys more than we can say.
Myself, Alanna, Magnolia & Lenora cannot thank you enough.
